Road to success

Career Connection
National Award Winner
Career Connection is a peer education program, created by FCCLA, designed to teach students how to prepare for career success now and in the future. The award recognizes chapters that conduct career development projects to help young people link skills for success in careers, families, and their communities.

“Road to Success” – Our Career Connection project chose to link personal interests and skills to future career clusters through stressing the importance of education, leadership, and work experience to incoming high schoolers as they complete district graduation requirements. Our project’s goals and objectives were to help students to discover their strengths, target their career goals, and create a future plan for achieving their goals.

This year Lake Stevens FCCLA has the honor of receiving the National First Place Award for the Career Connection Program for our project - "Road to Success". Lauren Lindbloom and Carlos Rojo headed this project and will be presented an award on-stage at the 2017 National Leadership Conference, July 2nd - 6th in Nashville, TN.
